Comic Strip Year celebrated in Brussels

Brussels is the comic strip capital of the world. The Ghent Festival will be held in Ghent from 18th until 27th July. The Ghent Festival promises "pop music, folkrock, rock 'n' roll, hiphop, jazz, R'n'B and lots more on all the squares in the city centre." There's theatre, comedy, sightseeing, exhibitions, boat trips on the river Lys. And there's always that fine food (and beer!) that Belgians are famous for. The Ghent Festivities take place during the week of 21 July every year in the historic centre of the city of Ghent, in the heart of Flanders (Belgium). 10 days of free partying, on various squares: music, international street theatre and puppet busker acts, theatre performances, guided tours and so much more.

Belgium's most important electronic music festival lasting several days programmes contemporary club music by young talent, striking revelations and famous names in the Vooruit Arts Centre. For children there are children's afternoons in the Zuidpark with a huge bouncy castle festival, high-minded puppet theatre, a circus and a fair. Some stages in Ghent present a varied children's and youngster's offer and the Youth Department will be transformed into a youth village.

Young and old can also enjoy fireworks, theatre performances, the Ghent Festivities parade, the Stroppendagers and Keizer Karel Foundation Guild Tour, Bal 1900, and so much more...

Bruges has lots of chocolate offers. Apart from the annual Choco-Laté event, the 49 chocolate shops will please the chocolate freaks. Taste chocolate gin, sniff chocolate powder, enjoy grandma's cup of hot chocolate, have a chocolate brunch, but most of all feel the chocolate atmosphere in the city centre. Antwerpen proeft Antwerpen Proeft is a culinary festival with about twenty restaurants and catering services from Antwerp in the weekend of 22-23 and 24 of august. The central Groenplaats becomes a village of tents. Well-known places offer you small dishes. Your clients can not only taste the classical Belgian-French but also the Mediterranean, Asian and South-American kitchen. This will be the biggest open air restaurant in summer! Entrance for free. You pay your food with vouchers of EUR 1,80. Every restaurant serves dishes for 1 or 2 vouchers. In the same weekend there is also the bollekesfeest. New fancy places in Antwerp
Near the future MAS-Museum in Antwerp the renovated warehouse Felixpakhuis becomes the socio-cultural hotspot of Antwerp. This storehouse will be divided in 6 entities with their own character. In June opens the first part - the terrace- with a large inspiring terrace with view on the Godefriduskaai. This location will regularly offer great live music. Other parts will be opened up later such as a concert room, exhibition area, and a truly boqueria... Thus soon this will be the place to be in Antwerp!
