During any visit to Ypres during the weekend it would be hard to miss the great weekly market in the splendid cobbled stones of the Grote Markt. Selling everything to fresh bread to the latest gadgets the market is held every Saturday and draws tourists and locals for some great bargains and local produce.

Temptingly displayed chocolateries will lure even the strongest willed visitors and once you've tried a free sample at Peter de Groote you could end up buying several different kinds to try especially the white chocolate creme fraiche. Very simple, no nuts, no other additions, just chocolate and fresh cream, delicious!
